How Much Does House Cleaning Cost in Wayne County, NC? (2026 Guide)

Honest pricing for residential cleaning in Wayne County and Eastern NC — what affects the rate, what's included, and exactly what we charge.

Cleaning prices vary widely across Wayne County and Eastern NC. Some chains quote $99 for a 'basic' and tack on charges at the door. Some independent cleaners charge $40/hour with no scope. Some marketplaces hide the per-visit cost behind a subscription. After cleaning homes across Goldsboro, Mount Olive, Kinston, Wilson, and the surrounding area, we believe the most useful thing we can publish is a plain breakdown of what we charge and why.

Our published prices

We use flat-rate pricing — no surprise charges, no per-hour math, no upsells at the end of the appointment. The numbers below are starting points for a typical three-bedroom Wayne County home.

Standard rates

  • Basic clean — starting at $150
  • Deep clean — starting at $300
  • Move-in / Move-out clean — starting at $350
  • Vacation rental turnover — quoted per property
  • Post-construction clean — quoted per project
  • Carpet & upholstery — partner referral

Larger square footage, heavy current condition, or specific add-ons can push the price higher. We always quote a firm number before the visit so there are no surprises.

What actually affects the price

Five things move the number, in roughly this order:

1. Square footage

A 1,200 sqft starter home in Goldsboro and a 4,500 sqft farmhouse outside Mount Olive are not the same job. We size the price to the actual square footage we'll be cleaning.

2. Number of bathrooms

Bathrooms take the longest per square foot. A home with three full baths quotes higher than the same square footage with one and a half.

3. Current condition

If the home has been professionally cleaned in the last six weeks, the next visit is fast. If it hasn't been deep-cleaned in two years, the first visit takes longer — and we'll quote a one-time first-visit rate that resets it to a maintainable baseline.

4. Pets in the home

We love pets — and we adjust for them. Heavy shedders, multiple animals, or known fur traps (couches, area rugs) take more time. There's no flat surcharge; we just factor it into the quote.

5. Frequency

Recurring clients (weekly, biweekly, monthly) get a locked-in rate that's lower per visit than one-offs. The savings come from us — recurring schedules let us plan our week tighter, so we pass that back.

What's included (no surprises)

Every basic clean we book includes dusting all visible surfaces, vacuuming carpets and rugs, mopping hard floors, kitchen and bathroom wipe-downs, mirrors, trash removal, and bed-making. Every deep clean adds baseboards, door frames, light fixtures, ceiling fan blades, inside the oven, inside the fridge, window tracks, grout, and the details a basic skips. For the full comparison, see our basic vs deep clean guide.

What we don't do: exterior power washing, mold remediation, hoarder cleanups, or carpet shampooing. For shampooing, we'll happily refer a trusted local specialist.

How we quote

You send us the form on the quote page with a few details about your home. Within a few hours during business days, we'll come back with a firm number — usually by text or email, whichever you prefer. If anything changes when we arrive (the home is much larger than described, for example), we'll talk before we start, not after.

Frequently asked questions

What's actually included in the $150 basic clean?

All standard maintenance — dusting visible surfaces, vacuuming, mopping, kitchen and bathroom surface clean, mirrors, trash, and bed-making. It's designed for homes that are already at a baseline and need to stay there. For a full breakdown, see our basic vs deep clean guide.

Do you charge by the hour or flat rate?

Flat rate. We quote a firm price up front based on your home and stick to it, even if we end up there longer than expected. The only time pricing changes is if the scope itself changes (e.g., you add windows on the day-of).

Are there extra charges for pets?

No flat surcharge. We just factor extra time into the quote if there's heavy shedding or multiple animals. Most one- or two-pet households see no price difference from a pet-free home.

Do you offer discounts for recurring service?

Yes. Recurring schedules (weekly, biweekly, monthly) lock in a lower per-visit rate. Most of our Wayne County clients land on biweekly. Ask on your first call and we'll quote both options side by side.

How accurate is the price you quote?

Very. We've quoted hundreds of Wayne County homes — the price we send is the price you pay 95%+ of the time. The only common exception is a home in much worse condition than described, in which case we'll talk before we start, not surprise you at the end.
